Connection is paramount to creating a desire to be influenced or led by someone.  People are more influenced by people who have some sort of emotional significance to them.  In this session, you will learn that who you are and how you show up to people is just as important as what you do as a leader.  You will learn how your presence and communication style affect your ability to connect.  You will also learn how to develop behavior that fosters connection.
Embrace Taking Risks
Presenter: Alice Lee-Osborne, CEO, Asian American Community Exchange L3C

This interactive workshop will help attendees discover and acknowledge how cultural background and upbringing affects decision making and will learn tools on how to overcome barriers in taking risks.

Catapult your Way to the Top: Leadership Secrets of Successful Leaders
Presenter: Dr. Linda Liang

In this fun and interactive session, we will focus on leadership competencies to be a successful leader. You will measure your personal power, learn leadership secrets of successful minority leaders and discuss case studies of leadership situations, including challenges and difficult situations. Dr. Linda Liang, who has studied leadership for over 20 years, will share her research on minority leadership competencies and will lead us in experiential learning.

Be Memorable, not Safe
Presenter: In-Wen Ariel Pao, M.A., PHR, CIR

Inspired by Ariel’s favorite TED talks by women, this interactive workshop will focus on creating or improving your online personal branding. Ariel will also share best practices on how to tackle common obstacles for Asian American women during job search and interviews.
